I went for a walk yesterday looking for good bloomin’ things! I had previously scouted out some trees and lilac bushes so that’s where I headed. I found this tree just in the late evening so the light was really cool behind the blooms. There was a bit of a breeze so it was hard to get it stay still long enough to take a good in-focus picture. This was one of the best.
I processed it in Lightroom first and then brought it into Photoshop and used the new Topaz Clarity plug-in. I really liked the effect and will be experimenting some more.
Let me know what you think of the processing and the photo in general. I would love to hear your comments.
Daniela: Here is the original photo you wanted to see! Thanks for asking! The things I worked on in Lightroom to process this photo were: White Balance (temperature), exposure, contrast, blacks slider, clarity, highlights (this is where I took the highlights down some because I thought they were too much), and I also brought the whites slider down.
